Manisha Purohit Brings Humor and Mischief to ‘Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera’
Mumbai: Actress Manisha Purohit is currently winning over audiences with her unique portrayal in Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera, produced by Studio LSD. Known for her expressive performances and strong screen presence, Manisha has managed to add a refreshing twist to her character by blending comedy with negative shades, creating a role that viewers find both entertaining and memorable.
Speaking about what attracted her to the role, Manisha revealed that her character is far more layered than a conventional antagonist. While the role includes elements of plotting and manipulation, it is also infused with humor, making it a distinctive and enjoyable experience for both the actress and the audience.
“I’m not doing only a negative role. My character always has a comic flavour along with the negative shade. When people tell me that I look like a ‘cute villain,’ it makes me feel really good. I’m happy that I’m able to make viewers laugh while doing all the plotting and planning,” she shared.
The actress believes that versatility is one of the most important qualities for any performer. Rather than being identified with a specific type of character, she hopes to continue exploring a wide range of roles throughout her career.
“It’s not that I enjoy grey or negative characters more. I love playing positive roles as well and I have done many of them. I always want to be known as a versatile actor and explore different kinds of characters,” she said.
Apart from her engaging role, Manisha also spoke warmly about her experience of working alongside television favorites Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia. Having previously worked with Shabir in Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan, she found it easy to reconnect with her co-star and build on their existing professional rapport.
Working with Sriti Jha for the first time proved equally rewarding. According to Manisha, the bond between them developed naturally from the moment they met.
“It has been amazing. I worked with Shabir earlier in Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan, so our chemistry was there from day one. Working with Sriti for the first time has also been wonderful. The moment I met her, I felt like we had known each other for years. She is humble, warm, and a fantastic co-actor. I truly love working with both of them,” she shared.
Describing her character in just a few words, Manisha called it “powerful, entertaining, and unpredictable,” a combination that perfectly reflects the energy she brings to the screen.
Fans of the show can also look forward to more twists and entertaining developments in the episodes ahead. While her character will continue to engage in schemes and strategic moves, the actress assures viewers that the comic undertone will remain intact, ensuring a balance of drama and entertainment.
“There will be a lot more plotting and planning, but always with a comic flavour. My character will continue to surprise viewers while keeping them entertained,” she said.
Reflecting on the realities of working in a daily television show, Manisha highlighted the dedication and emotional strength required from actors. She explained that television demands constant adaptability, where performers must switch between intense emotional scenes and lighter moments while maintaining energy and professionalism.
“As an actor, you have to be ready for a switch-on and switch-off mode. Daily shows require a lot of hard work and dedication. Emotionally, you get attached to the show and the people around you, but you also have to understand that every journey eventually comes to an end. I believe in loving everything wholeheartedly but not becoming overly attached. Physically, you have to stay strong and be prepared for every situation,” she said.
With her engaging performance, relatable outlook, and commitment to versatility, Manisha Purohit continues to leave a strong impression on audiences. As Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera progresses, viewers can expect her character to bring plenty of laughter, surprises, and unforgettable moments to the screen.
