Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Acclaimed actor and television host Rajeev Khandelwal has been appointed as the ambassador and host of 'Vande Bharatam', a nationwide entrepreneurship initiative spearheaded by industrialist Gautam Adani. The programme aims to discover, celebrate and empower innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers from every corner of India by providing them with a national platform to showcase their ideas and achievements.
Designed to identify exceptional talent from across the country, the initiative will reach more than 800 districts spanning all 36 States and Union Territories. It seeks to uncover inspiring stories of individuals whose innovation and entrepreneurial spirit have the potential to create meaningful impact at both local and national levels.
As part of the programme, participants from diverse backgrounds will compete through multiple stages of the selection process. From thousands of applicants, 75 finalists will earn the opportunity to present their ideas at a special showcase in Ahmedabad, leading up to a grand finale scheduled around India's Independence Day celebrations.
Rajeev Khandelwal expressed his excitement about becoming part of an initiative that shines a spotlight on deserving talent from smaller towns and rural India. He said the opportunity to bring the inspiring stories of overlooked innovators to a national audience is both an honour and a matter of immense pride.

Applications for the programme officially opened on June 24, inviting innovators, startup founders, social entrepreneurs and changemakers from across India to participate in the nationwide search.
