Actor Amal Sehrawat, known for his performances in projects such as Sarkar 3, Satya 2, Chotti Sarrdaarni, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently attended Times India Fashion Week, where he found inspiration in the diverse range of designs, creative expressions, and emerging talent showcased on the runway.
Reflecting on the experience, Amal described the event as a celebration of creativity and inclusivity, particularly appreciating the platform it provided to both established and aspiring designers.
“Times India Fashion Week was truly spectacular. What stood out to me was the way it gave equal visibility to seasoned designers as well as new talents. Events like these inspire creativity and allow you to explore fresh perspectives on fashion,” he said.
According to Amal, fashion events play an important role in broadening one’s understanding of style by introducing new combinations of silhouettes, fabrics, colours, and design concepts.
“Shows like these open up your imagination. You get to see different approaches to styling and presentation, which naturally inspires new ideas and creative experimentation,” he shared.
While Amal enjoys observing evolving trends, his personal philosophy towards fashion remains rooted in comfort and confidence.
“For me, fashion is anything that makes you feel comfortable. When you are genuinely at ease in what you wear, it automatically reflects in your confidence. That effortless confidence creates a style that is unique and personal,” he explained.
The actor revealed that his interest in fashion began during his teenage years, when he started paying closer attention to how clothing reflected personality and self-expression.
“As I entered my teens, I became more aware of what suited me and what aligned with my personality. Over time, fashion and styling became second nature. Even today, I subconsciously notice interesting details and ideas that often find their way into my personal wardrobe,” he said.
Amal also enjoys experimenting with different looks and considers fashion an extension of his creative personality.
“Creating new looks gives me immense satisfaction. It is not only about looking good but also about expressing creativity. Fashion allows you to reinvent yourself while staying authentic,” he shared.
Despite being associated with the entertainment industry, Amal's everyday style remains practical and comfort-driven. Loose-fitting clothing, breathable fabrics, and relaxed silhouettes dominate his wardrobe choices throughout the year.
“Loose clothing is my all-season favourite. During summers, I usually wear relaxed cotton shirts paired with comfortable pants, either as coordinated sets or contrasting combinations. In winters, I enjoy oversized outfits and layered looks that offer both comfort and style,” he said.
The actor also spoke about designer fashion, revealing that he owns several designer pieces gifted by friends in the industry. However, he emphasized that brand names alone do not influence his fashion choices.
“I appreciate good design regardless of where it comes from. I never wear labels simply for the sake of wearing them. Whether it is a renowned designer or a talented newcomer, what matters most is whether the outfit genuinely resonates with my personality,” he explained.
Discussing fashion trends, Amal said he prefers balance over blind adoption.
“I do not follow trends just because they are popular. At the same time, I am open to evolving and experimenting. I believe in incorporating trends in a way that feels authentic rather than forcing something that does not reflect who I am,” he noted.
Looking back on his journey, Amal fondly recalled his first-ever ramp walk during the Grasim Mr. India competition, where he emerged among the top finalists and secured the Best Physique Runner-Up title.
“The experience felt surreal. I still remember being nervous because the venue was packed, and seeing Priyanka Chopra in the front row as one of the judges made it even more memorable. It remains one of the most special moments of my career,” he concluded.
Through his evolving fashion journey, Amal Sehrawat continues to champion a simple yet powerful belief—that true style begins with comfort, confidence, and individuality.
