Dabish Crime Thriller Set for April 3 Release

Mumbai: Films inspired by real-life incidents often resonate deeply with audiences, and the upcoming crime thriller Dabish aims to do just that. Scheduled for theatrical release on April 3, 2026, the film presents a gripping narrative centered on justice, systemic corruption, and the resilience of an honest police officer.

Written and directed by Manoj Tripathi, Dabish delves into the harsh realities of law enforcement and political interference. The story follows DSP Rudra, portrayed by Aamir Malik, a fearless and principled officer who is transferred to a new city. From his very first day, Rudra is confronted with the grim truth of a compromised system.

The narrative takes shape when Sugni Devi, a distressed woman, approaches the police station to file a First Information Report (FIR) regarding her husband’s murder. However, her plea is dismissed by the corrupt officer Chhedi Lal, highlighting the systemic apathy prevalent within the department. The situation escalates when Sugni Devi returns with another complaint—this time about her daughter’s kidnapping. The case becomes even more sensitive as the prime suspect is Bhanu Yadav, the influential son of a powerful MLA. Played by Anant Saraswat, Bhanu emerges as a formidable antagonist, embodying unchecked power and intimidation.
