Actress Garima Jain has worked across numerous television projects throughout her career, but her experience on Eagle Films’ Office Office – Chali Musaddi Ki Beti stands out as one of the most memorable. The actress credits not only the talented ensemble cast but also veteran producer Umesh Mehra for creating an atmosphere that felt more like a family than a professional set.
Speaking about her experience, Garima described the production as one of the most positive and enjoyable environments she has ever worked in. According to her, every aspect of the casting was thoughtfully planned, resulting in a team that worked together seamlessly.
“Luckily, it's an ensemble cast. Every actor we met, including the primary cast and the character artists who appeared for specific episodes, made the experience wonderful because the casting was extremely well thought out. The environment was easygoing and comfortable throughout,” she shared.
Garima believes much of this positive energy stemmed from the leadership of the show's creative team. She particularly praised the director for ensuring a healthy and collaborative atmosphere while acknowledging the active involvement of producer Umesh Mehra.
She revealed that Mehra was present on the set almost every day, often arriving before the cast members. His involvement went beyond production responsibilities, as he consistently encouraged everyone to spend time together, share meals, and build genuine friendships.
“We would all sit together during breaks, sing songs, gossip, and enjoy each other’s company whenever there was a lighting setup happening. It created a beautiful sense of togetherness that is very rare,” Garima recalled.
One aspect that particularly stood out for the actress was the absence of ego among the cast and crew. Having spent years in the entertainment industry, Garima admitted she has witnessed various personalities and working styles. However, she described this project as a refreshing exception.
“I've worked with many actors and seen different temperaments over the years. But on this set, whether someone was a newcomer or a senior artist, everyone was respectful and easy to work with. There wasn't a single difficult person. It was genuinely the best group of co-actors I have ever had the pleasure of working with,” she said.
When speaking about Umesh Mehra, Garima was particularly heartfelt. She emphasized that her admiration was based on genuine experience rather than professional courtesy.
“I am not praising him simply because I am part of his show. I genuinely mean every word. I have worked with many producers, and while they have all been good in their own ways, Umesh ji is truly exceptional,” she shared.
According to Garima, Mehra’s greatest strength lies in his compassion and concern for the people he works with. She recalled how he regularly checked on the cast and crew, ensuring everyone felt comfortable, supported, and valued.
“He would always ask us if we were facing any difficulties or needed help with anything. It wasn't just for me—he cared about every single person on set. His priority was making sure everyone was happy and comfortable so that the work could happen smoothly,” she said.
Garima also fondly remembered the personal touch Mehra brought to the set through food. She revealed that he often arranged home-cooked meals and even took individual requests from cast members.
“One day he asked us what we wanted to eat. I requested achari aloo, and he actually made sure it was brought for me. Everyone made their own requests, and he fulfilled them. That level of thoughtfulness says a lot about the kind of person he is,” she shared.
Summing up her experience, Garima admitted that working with Umesh Mehra has set a new benchmark for her.
“I genuinely hope I get to work with him again and again because now he has spoiled us. It felt very good to work with him,” she concluded.
