Niharika Chouksey Reveals Story Behind Her Bridal Look

Niharika Chouksey’s recent bridal appearance in Tumm Se Tumm Tak has emerged as one of the most celebrated moments on television, capturing the attention of viewers and social media users alike. Dressed in a timeless red saree paired with layered traditional jewellery, the actress won hearts with her graceful portrayal of bride-to-be Anu, prompting fans to flood social platforms with screenshots, edits, and admiration for her look.

Reflecting on the experience, Niharika revealed that even she was overwhelmed when she first saw herself fully transformed into a bride.

“Honestly, I was just staring at myself for a few seconds because the look felt so surreal and dreamy. The red saree, the traditional jewellery, the floral varmala—everything together instantly made me feel like a real bride. It was a very beautiful and emotional moment for me,” she shared.

The actress also revealed that she actively participated in shaping the final look. Rather than opting for an overly glamorous appearance, the team focused on creating a bridal aesthetic that felt authentic, emotional, and deeply rooted in tradition.

“I was definitely involved in giving my inputs because I wanted the look to feel authentic and elegant. Our styling and creative teams worked very hard, and together we made sure the bridal look matched the emotional mood of the sequence perfectly,” she said.

Among all the elements of her bridal ensemble, the jewellery became her personal favourite. The layered necklaces, nath, maang tikka, and traditional bangles played a significant role in completing the overall look.

“For me, it was definitely the jewellery and the traditional red drape. The layered necklaces, nath, maang tikka and bangles completed the entire bridal vibe beautifully. I also loved how subtle yet glowing the makeup looked on screen,” Niharika added.

According to the actress, the styling was carefully designed to mirror Anu’s emotional journey during the wedding track. The makers intentionally embraced simplicity, grace, and softness to reflect the character’s innocence and emotional state.

“Yes, completely. The look was graceful, traditional and emotional, just like my character’s state of mind during the wedding sequence. Nothing was overly loud or flashy—it had softness and innocence, which connected very well with the character,” she explained.

Niharika further revealed that Indian brides themselves served as the biggest inspiration behind the styling process. The creative team aimed to create a timeless look that would remain beautiful and relevant for years to come.

“I think Indian brides themselves are always the biggest inspiration. We wanted a timeless and classic look rather than something overly trendy, so the styling had a very rooted and traditional feel,” she said.

Bringing the look to life required significant effort behind the scenes. The actress disclosed that it took approximately three to four hours each day to complete the bridal transformation, including hair styling, makeup, saree draping, and jewellery placement.

“It took almost three to four hours including hair, makeup, draping and jewellery. Bridal looks always take time because every little detail matters,” she shared.

While the final result looked effortless on screen, carrying the elaborate outfit throughout long shooting schedules presented its own challenges.

“Definitely the jewellery and managing the outfit during long shooting hours. The varmala, heavy necklaces and saree together become quite difficult after a point, especially while performing emotional scenes. But once the camera starts rolling, you forget the discomfort because the look makes you feel so special,” she admitted.

The actress also noted that wedding sequences naturally create a unique atmosphere on set, with cast and crew becoming emotionally invested in the storyline.

“Definitely. Everyone becomes more emotional and excited because wedding tracks always feel grand and memorable on television,” she said.

The overwhelming response from audiences has made the hard work worthwhile. Fans have continued sharing edits, screenshots, and messages appreciating the traditional styling and Niharika’s elegant screen presence.

“The response has been overwhelming. People have been sharing screenshots, edits and lovely messages saying they loved the traditional bridal vibe,” Niharika concluded.

With its blend of tradition, emotion, and visual elegance, the bridal sequence has become one of the standout moments in Tumm Se Tumm Tak, further strengthening Niharika Chouksey’s connection with viewers and showcasing the timeless appeal of classic Indian bridal aesthetics.
