Pallavi Purohit on Timid Roles and Her Real Mischievous Self in Do Duniya Ek Dil
Actress Pallavi Purohit opens up about her accidental entry into Do Duniya Ek Dil, the contrast between her timid on-screen roles and naughty real personality, and working with Sudhanshu Pandey.
Actress Pallavi Purohit’s journey into the television show Do Duniya, Ek Dil was not the result of a meticulously planned career move but rather a blend of familiar connections, chance conversations, and genuine talent. Her experience highlights how opportunities in the industry often unfold organically, even as the standard audition process remains rigorous.
Before collaborating with Sudhanshu Pandey, Pallavi held certain preconceptions about her co-star. “Before meeting Sudhanshu ji, my first impression of him was that he must be very arrogant. His face always looked very serious, so I assumed he would be quite rude. But once I met him, I realised he is actually very sweet and kind,” she shared. She also praised his emotional depth, noting how he can become tearful without needing glycerine, both on and off screen, revealing his soft-hearted nature.
Her entry into the show came through a familiar professional network. Having previously worked on several projects with Balaji Telefilms, she was in touch with writer Sharad Chandra Tripathi, who is now associated with this production. “He asked me, ‘You’ve roamed around a lot. Will you do some work?’ So I said, ‘Yes, tell me what the work is.’ Then he explained it, and I liked the team very much. When you know people from before, it feels a bit like going back home,” she recalled.
