His face always looked very serious, so I assumed he would be quite rude. But once I met him, I realised he is actually very sweet and kind,” she shared. Having previously worked on several projects with Balaji Telefilms, she was in touch with writer Sharad Chandra Tripathi, who is now associated with this production. “He asked me, ‘You’ve roamed around a lot. Will you do some work?’ So I said, ‘Yes, tell me what the work is.’ Then he explained it, and I liked the team very much. When you know people from before, it feels a bit like going back home,” she recalled.

Despite the recommendation, Pallavi emphasized that talent and process remain paramount. “No matter how much work comes through recommendations, the process still remains the same. You have to give auditions and go through look tests. You never get work without talent,” she stated. She underwent multiple auditions and look tests before being finalized for the role.

Interestingly, her character in the show shares her real name. However, there is a stark contrast between her on-screen persona and her true self. “It doesn't match at all. In real life, I am very naughty and a big mischief-maker, and in this, I am very timid and very submissive,” she admitted. She described Sudhanshu Pandey’s overpowering character as leaving her character with little voice, though she hinted at a future transformation, saying, “Right now, I am living in fear, but I feel that going forward, one day the Chandi avatar will emerge.”

Pallavi also touched upon an amusing casting mix-up during auditions. The casting director initially thought she was the wrong Pallavi, but encouraged her to audition anyway. The makers were convinced she could portray the timid, submissive character with depth and potential for growth.
