Sonam Thakur’s Music Venture Enters Bollywood

Mumbai: Emerging talent from Uttarakhand, Sonam Thakur, is poised to make a significant mark in the Bollywood music industry with an ambitious new project. Partnering with acclaimed music producer Anshul Soni, this venture is set to blend regional artistry with mainstream appeal, offering a platform for both established and emerging voices.

Hailing from Dehradun, Sonam Thakur has spent the past four years building a strong foothold in Uttarakhand’s regional entertainment industry. Known for her performances in the hill cinema circuit, she is now expanding her creative horizon by stepping into music production. This transition marks a pivotal moment in her career, positioning her as both an artist and an entrepreneur.

The project is being developed under her music label, “Nati Nation Records,” in collaboration with Anshul Soni’s production house, Movement Creations LLP. The joint venture aims to produce high-quality music content that resonates with a national audience while retaining a distinctive cultural essence.

The project will feature prominent names such as Master Saleem, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Palak Muchhal, Krishna Beura, and Shreya Ghoshal. The first release under this banner, titled “Tu Jahaan Hai Mera,” will feature the soulful voice of renowned playback singer Javed Ali. The project is directed by Subroto Karjana, with music composed by Rajiv Roy Chowdhury, ensuring a well-rounded creative execution.

Production for the project is scheduled to commence in May 2026. The choreography will be helmed by Shubham Arya, supported by assistant choreographer Moni Thakur, promising visually dynamic performances. The marketing strategy is being led by Sapna Soni, while Rohan Soni will oversee A&R operations, ensuring that the project reaches its intended audience effectively.
