Actress Sriti Jha, who essays the role of Aparajita in Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah under the banner Studio LSD, has opened up about the emotional depth of her character and the powerful journey of resilience that continues to unfold on screen.
As the show progresses, Aparajita finds herself navigating a complex web of emotional turmoil, family expectations, and personal struggles. According to Sriti, portraying the character has been both challenging and deeply moving.
“Right now, I feel a mix of nervousness, sadness, and pride because the show has only just begun and we are still unfolding Aparajita’s story,” Sriti shared. “There are moments where I feel deeply affected because it is difficult to imagine that many people actually go through situations like this in real life.”
One of the aspects that impacts her the most is Aparajita’s growing sense of isolation despite being surrounded by family members.
“Nothing seems to be working in her favour. Even her own family believes that Lalit is a good person and questions why Aparajita is unable to make the relationship work. They feel she is not making enough effort, and that makes the situation even more painful,” she explained.
However, amid the emotional challenges, Sriti finds inspiration in Aparajita’s evolving strength and determination.
“What I truly admire is that Aparajita has reached a point where she has decided not to depend on anyone else for help. She wants to face the situation herself and do everything possible to overcome it. She is determined to find a way out and also protect her family from the consequences of what is happening,” the actress said.
A major conflict in the story revolves around Aparajita’s deep love and concern for her family, something that Lalit recognizes and manipulates to his advantage.
“Now that Aparajita has started raising her voice, Lalit understands that her biggest weakness is her family. She doesn't want to reveal the full truth about him because she worries it could have a serious impact on her father's health. That emotional dilemma is what makes her struggle so difficult,” Sriti shared.
The actress also highlighted one of the most heartbreaking developments in the ongoing storyline involving Aparajita’s father, Ram Gopal.
In an attempt to emotionally pressure Aparajita, Lalit forces Ram Gopal into physically demanding work at a shop despite his deteriorating health and poor eyesight.
“Aparajita feels helpless watching her father go through this. He is forced to continue working despite his condition, and it breaks her heart because he is not only her father but also her mentor and teacher,” Sriti explained.
The father-daughter bond remains one of the emotional pillars of the show. Speaking about the relationship, Sriti emphasized Ram Gopal’s artistic legacy and the dignity he represents.
“He is an incredibly talented artist and a skilled Maheshwari saree weaver. Seeing someone with so much talent and self-respect being subjected to disrespectful treatment is extremely painful for Aparajita. She cannot bear to watch it happen,” she said.
As Aparajita's journey continues, Sriti believes the character is gradually discovering the true source of her strength.
“I think her biggest realization is that she needs to become ‘Aparajita’ in the truest sense of the word—someone who is invincible. Before being a daughter, a sister, or a wife, she needs to stand strong as an individual. Once she finds that strength within herself, she will be able to face every challenge that comes her way,” she concluded.
Through Aparajita’s emotional journey, Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera continues to explore themes of courage, self-worth, family bonds, and the resilience required to overcome adversity, making her story one that resonates deeply with audiences.
