Pallavi Chaterjee Reveals Her Monsoon Rituals

As the monsoon season gradually spreads across the country, actress Pallavi Chaterjee is embracing the charm that the rains bring. From comforting food and evergreen music to peaceful indoor moments and scenic travel destinations, the actress believes that the rainy season transforms not just nature but also people's emotions.

Sharing her thoughts on the arrival of the monsoon, Pallavi said that every city takes on a unique personality once the rains begin. According to her, the season brings freshness, emotional warmth and plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance.

"The entire texture, mood and feeling change during the monsoon. It's wonderful for our soul. Every city develops a different character during this season. It is also extremely important for our soil and for the farmers who depend on timely rainfall," she said.

While many enjoy stepping out to experience the rain, Pallavi prefers spending heavy rainy days indoors whenever possible. She believes staying comfortable at home is the best way to enjoy the weather without dealing with travel disruptions caused by downpours.

"The best way to handle heavy rains is not to step out. If possible, work from home, listen to good music and spend the day enjoying indoor activities," she shared.

Music has always been an important part of her monsoon memories, and one classic song continues to remain close to her heart. Pallavi named the iconic "Rimjhim Gire Sawan" as her all-time favourite rain melody, praising both its timeless appeal and its beautiful depiction of Mumbai during the monsoon.

"Any day, 'Rimjhim Gire Sawan' by R.D. Burman is my all-time favourite. The song beautifully captures the spirit of Mumbai during the rainy season," she said.

No conversation about monsoon is complete without comfort food, and for Pallavi, traditional homemade meals continue to define the season. She revealed that a simple serving of khichdi topped with ghee, accompanied by crispy onion pakoras and papad, has been her family's cherished monsoon meal since childhood.

"Khichdi with ghee and onion pakoras served with papad has been my staple food during monsoons. We have grown up eating it, and it continues to be my favourite comfort meal," she said.

When it comes to travel, the actress is equally fond of destinations that become even more beautiful during the rains. She listed Darjeeling, Goa and Thailand among her favourite places to visit during the monsoon, appreciating the lush landscapes and refreshing atmosphere these locations offer.

For Pallavi Chaterjee, the monsoon is much more than a change in weather. It is a season of nostalgia, soulful music, comforting food, quiet moments at home and unforgettable travel experiences that continue to hold a special place in her heart.
