Mumbai, March 2026 – Actor Shehzad Sheikh has stepped into a new and interesting role in Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s upcoming show Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan, produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment. Shehzad is essaying the character of Shlok, a hotelier, and has revealed that he is drawing heavily from his own real-life background to bring authenticity to the part.

Sharing a lesser-known fact about his education, Shehzad said, “Many people don’t know that in real life I have done Honours Graduation in Hotel Management from Taj Institute, Aurangabad. And just like in real life, my reel-life character is also a hotelier. He too is going through all the ups and downs that all professionals in the hospitality industry have to go through.”

With very little time to prepare for the role, the actor relied on his personal experiences rather than conventional research. “I did not get any time to prepare or prepare myself for this role. I had to rely on my real life experiences, and hence, if you have lived your life well, that always comes in handy,” he shared.

Shehzad explained that the process of shaping Shlok is still an ongoing collaborative effort with the creative team. “It’s crucial to tailor the character to the needs of the team and the project,” he noted. “An actor is just a tool in the entire casting machinery of film and television production.”

He emphasised the importance of teamwork and respect for every department involved in the making of a show. “Working together and respecting all departments as a team requires research, homework, and dedication to your work,” Shehzad added.

The actor expressed genuine admiration and gratitude towards producers Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta. “It’s truly an honour to work with them. I’ve been a huge fan of their work since the days of Jamai Raja, and they’re both incredibly generous people. I can confidently say they’re some of the best producers I’ve ever worked with,” he said warmly.

Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan marks yet another project where Shehzad Sheikh is blending his real-life expertise with on-screen performance. By drawing directly from his hotel management background, the actor aims to portray the pressures, challenges, and realities of the hospitality industry with sincerity and depth.

With Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta known for their engaging storytelling and strong production values, the show is expected to offer audiences a compelling mix of drama, emotion, and relatable characters. Shehzad’s grounded approach to his role promises to add an authentic layer to the narrative.
