Actress Prachi Singh, who plays Manjuri (Munni) in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, believes that success in the entertainment industry depends as much on emotional resilience as it does on talent. While the profession comes with long hours and constant pressure, she says staying connected to one's roots and family is the key to maintaining mental well-being.
Reflecting on the demanding nature of acting, Prachi shared that patience, self-awareness and authenticity have helped her navigate the challenges of the industry.
"The job is very demanding, and taking care of your mental health is extremely important. You need a lot of patience in this profession. I believe that if you stay connected to your family, remain close to your roots and never forget where you come from, you will always find mental peace. The most important thing is to be yourself," she said.
The actress also emphasised the importance of humility despite the glamour associated with show business.
"It is very important to stay grounded in this industry. Sometimes it can be difficult, but I believe everyone should remain humble and never lose touch with reality," she added.
Talking about her craft, Prachi revealed that emotional sequences are the most challenging part of acting. Rather than simply memorising dialogues, she immerses herself in the emotions of the character to make every performance feel authentic.
"For me, emotional scenes are more difficult than other scenes. I prepare by imagining that whatever is happening to my character is happening to me. I ask myself how I would react in that situation. Once I genuinely start feeling those emotions, I can portray them naturally on screen," she explained.
Looking ahead, the actress hopes to build a career defined by versatility rather than repetition. She expressed a strong desire to portray characters that are vastly different from one another, allowing audiences to see her range as a performer.
"In the future, I want every role I play to be completely different from the previous one. I want to showcase my versatility and take on characters that truly challenge me as an actor. I am open to any role that is unique and pushes me beyond my comfort zone," she said.
Working on the sets of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 has also been a valuable learning experience. Sharing screen space with experienced actors has helped her grow both personally and professionally.
"The set is super fun, and at the same time, working with such senior actors teaches you so much. Every day is a learning experience," she shared.
Prachi also reminisced about her childhood love for television, revealing that she grew up watching popular daily soaps that inspired her dream of becoming an actor.
"I was completely crazy about television. I watched almost every serial that came on TV. Pratigya was one of my favourites, along with Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. Watching those shows made me believe that one day I could be an actor too. I have always been passionate about television," she recalled.
Speaking about joining Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, Prachi revealed that the opportunity came through a routine audition. After submitting her performance based on the character brief, she was shortlisted and eventually selected for the role.
"It was a random audition. I was asked to send it urgently, and after about ten to fifteen days, I received a call informing me that I had been shortlisted. Eventually, I was selected for the role, and that's how my journey with the show began," she concluded.
With a grounded outlook, a passion for meaningful performances and a desire to constantly challenge herself, Prachi Singh continues to carve a promising path in Indian television while embracing every opportunity to grow as an actor.
